Brought to you by the letter S

Sesame Street could be ranked as one of the all time greatest shows along with The Hills, ANTM, and 20/20 with Barbara Walters. My niece and I are huge fans (I recommend the Elmo and Ricky Gervais one). Now you may think I'm a little strange to be talking about a show about puppets living on one street named after seeds but this is how it plays into my weekend. My Saturday was all about the S's - Scary lady on Scooter, Sleeping, Shane, another Shane, and Secondhand Serenade...hence the letter s.
Scary lady on Scooter - Jenny and I have many random experiences in the car. Before this Saturday we had witnessed an old lady on a scooter crossing the street. You might not think this as strange but she was in the car lane just driving along. We stared a good 5 mins (because that's how long it took her to cross) wondering why the other cars weren't passing her. Well on this Saturday we had another scooter experience...but this time the lady was on the sidewalk...oh did I mention she was BLIND!?!?! She used a cane but really?!? I mean could this be safe? What if she poked an eye out or went off the curb? Oh don't worry, we took a picture.

Sleeping - no explanation needed...I like sleep.
Shane - Shane, in our ward, made us some fabulous hamburgers. As he put it, "there's cheese permeated in the meat". We chilled in his office/room and discussed the use of fans and teaching. It was a great dinner and I think we all ate way too much!
Shane and Secondhand Serenade - this Shane is one of my favorite people in the world (behind Mr. Bean and a select few other people). Jen, Steph, and I met up with him for a concert at Thanksgiving Point. He felt a little embarrassed that he was not in emo attire...we were a little embarrassed for him as well. We sat on the grass and listened to 3 bands (Runner Runner?, White Tie Affair, and Secondhand Serenade) play. Not only did we have music but also a lot of entertainment! I have never seen soo many awkward high school couples in my life! Shane and I watched one couple as the girl did everything she could to get the guy to kiss her. Finally, after a lot of side commentary by us and the guy giving in, they kissed! At first there was rejoicing but then that quickly subsided into disgust and regret. They wouldn't stop kissing. We quickly focused our attentions elsewhere. Overall it was a good concert and we had lots of fun and some unique conversations!!
Well there we have it, that was my Saturday...this update is brought to you by the letter S. Seriously go Youtube the Elmo/Ricky Gervais clip.
